Here's The House Layout

Here is the layout of our new house in El Sombroso Oaks, Los Gatos, California. It has about 1200 sqft. We have labeled some of the items we want to change:

A. Two things happen here. The wall with the sliding door will be bumped out to match the Living Room wall. If we get approval from the Board of Pensions, we will also take out the wall separating the Living Room and the dining area. We think this will open up the two rooms, giving a sense of expansion, and making the dining area more useable for larger entertaining. Ruth came up with the idea, lots of folks like it, so we hope to get approval.

B. The floor to ceiling cabinets will be expanded to the full length of the wall, giving us more pantry space. All the wall space over counters will have cabinets.

C. We are having an extra circuit put into the stove area in order to mount an above the stove microwave. The extra circuit is needed—other places have had trouble using a microwave and toaster at the same time! One place could not have the microwave and Christmas tree lights on at the same time.

D. We need to purchase a dishwasher, new countertop, and a sink. The stove and refridgerator are fairly recent, and need not be replaced.

E. The furnace is being replaced, and we have asked for a sound-deadening duct and an electronic air cleaner be attached.

Our plan at the present is to use Bedroom 1 as our bedroom, and Bedroom 2 as a joint study. We married each other for better and worse; can we also office together?

Looks pretty interesting! I know it's going to be tough to cull down to 1200 sq ft, but hopefully you'll be out and about a lot so that it won't matter. The changes look interesting and I think you're smart to take the small bedroom for sleeping and the other for the office.

You get major geek points by being able to scan & post the plan!!!

I'm emailing you as i'm trying to trace my family tree on my mothers side and i'm presuming that we must be related somewhere along the line. so if i tell you a bit about me then maybe you might be able to help me in my quest.

I was born in Glasgow in 1971 my parents were Richard Shaw and Agnes McCreath.Born Glasgow 1946. My mother had 3 brothers Hugh McCreath, David McCreath and William McCreath known as billy. I know David and Billy got married and had children but don't know there names.
My Grandparents were Hugh McCreath and Mary-ann McCreath (maiden name witherspoon).

I would much appreciate it if you could help me in any small way.
